Daniel Field, head professional at East Herts Golf Club, won the individual prize at Hadley Wood Pro-Am with a round of three-under-par 69. He had five birdies.

Joint runners-up, one shot behind, were Jason Levermore, the newly-appointed head professional at Channels Golf Club, Brett Taylor from Chelmsford and Mitch Kierstenson who is now in the senior ranks.

Levermore, preparing to play in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth later this month, had an eagle and two birdies. Taylor had two birdies and no dropped shots while Kierstenson, now attached to Penfold Park Golf Club, was two-over after 10 but then had five birdies in his next six holes before dropping another shot at the last.

Daniel Belcher (N1Golf Metro Golf Centre) and Glen Portelli, assistant at Verulam, were both one-under-par.

This popular event attracted 48 teams the winners being Russell Hurd of Essendon Golf Centre with amateurs Kieran Griffin, Elaine Ratcliffe and Paul Densham. Their score of 128, which was 16-under par, beat Ben Cooper (Bishop’s Stortford) with Hadley Wood member Rob Hardy and two guests into second place by three shots. The third placed team with 132 was Kieran James of Bush Hill Park with Rob Stoddart, Dave Jones and Mick O’Connor.
