Greig Hutcheon (above) scored his seventh win of the Tartan Tour season and his fourth since July 31 with a fine round of seven-under-par 63 to lift the £1,330 top pro prize in the Deeside Saltire Energy Pro-Am.

Scottish PGA champion Hutcheon capped his performance with an eagle at the par-4 17th, helping him come roaring home in only 30 shots, four-under the card.

The Banchory tour pro had birdies at the second, long third, long sixth, eighth, 11th and long 13th. His only bogey came at the seventh in an outward three-under 33.

Four of Hutcheon’s wins have come in his native North-east - Kemnay, Turriff, Peterculter and now Deeside.

And it was a north east one-two at Deeside with Aberdonian Scott Henderson (Kings Links) filling second place, two shots behind Hutcheon on 65. Henderson had a bogey-free card with birdies at the long third, long sixth, 11th, short 14th and 17th to earn £1,063.

Heather MacRae (Gleneagles) achieved a creditable joint seventh finish with a 67 which earned her £319.
