Jankowski enjoys home advantage

Essendon Country Club assistant James Jankowski won the individual professional prize at the Hertfordshire PGA Grant Trophy meeting over his home course. 

His splendid round of four-under-par 68 beat James Ruebotham (Welwyn Garden City) by two shots.

Paul Hetherington (Great Hadham Golf and Country Club), the new PGA in England East captain, and Ian Taylor of Essendon tied for third place with level-par rounds of 70.

East Herts won the Grant Trophy with 84 Stableford points. They were represented by Daniel Field with amateurs Paul Vickery and Ken Jones. Taylor, Ian Smith and Danny Ullah were runners-up for the host club with 80. The third team prize went to Joel Saunders (Verulam) with Dean Austin and Mark Barnard with 74 points.
