Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle - above) scored his first win of the 2014 Tartan Tour with a three-under-par 68 at the Strathaven Golf Club pro-am today (Tuesday).

McCreadie's bag of six birdies - at the second, fifth, eighth, 10th, 12th and 14th - gave a clear advantage over the field and he could afford to bogey the last and still win by a shot.

Joint runners-up on 69 were Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) who had six birdies in a 12-hole span - second to the 14th - and Scottish PGA champion Gareth Wright (West Linton).

Welshman Wright had the first prize at his mercy when he had an eagle at the eighth and birdies at the first, third, fifth and 10th with only one shot, at the ninth, dropped.

But he did a 'Devon Loch' - sagging before the winning post with bogeys at the 15th, 16th and 18th.
