Scade skates it

06/05/2013

James Scade of Little Channels Golf Club was a convincing winner of the May Bank Holiday Monday pro-am at Hendon.

His round of four under par, with only one dropped shot, swept away the challenge of  33 rivals.

Scade won the PGA East Anglian Open at the Rayleigh Club last year.

Joint runners-up on level par 70 were Noel Quinn of Whipsnade Park, winner of two order of merit events last year, and Mitch Kierstenson of Penfold Park.

Three players were one over par. They were David Bunker of Stanmore, Stuart Brown of Orton Meadows and Brett Taylor of Brett Taylor Golf.

Hendon’s head professional Matt Deal had to settle for being tied seventh with Michael Vandenberg of Wyke Green and Daniel Field of East Herts at two over par. There were no eagles recorded all day.

James Taverner of Brocket Hall brought home the winning team with 11 under par 129. Kierstenson’s team was second with 131 and Deal’s third with 132.
