Watters claims Ayrshire pro-am win

Gourock professional Derek Watters scored a five-under-par 66 to win the Ayrshire Winter Golf Association pro-am at Glasgow Gailes.

Campbell Elliott (Haggs Castle) and Graham Fox (Clydeway Golf) had the second best individual rounds of 68.

They also led their respective teams to joint second on 59 in the pro-am, which was eventually won by Turnberry assistant Ciar Porciani and his amateur team of George Higgins, Robin Slater and Jim McEwan with a net 58. 

Elliott's amateur partners were Gordon Cree, Alex Fallis and Scott Ritchie while Fox was partnered by David Cooper, Tom Harwood and John Laurie.
