About Us
Bearwood Lakes is an exclusive golf club for members and their personal guests to enjoy. The 18-hole championship golf course in Wokingham, Berkshire is set in 200 acres of beautiful grounds, with world class practice facilities and a stunning clubhouse. We have an exciting 2025 season in store, where we are a host venue for both Regional Open Qualifying and Senior Open Qualifying.
The Golf Operations Team at Bearwood Lakes is driven by a passionate team of golf industry professionals, who provide a best-in-class golf experience to all our members and guests.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the bagstore, preparing members clubs and equipment for play.
- Offer a courteous welcome to members as they arrive to the club and assist guests with directions to the relevant departments.
- Monitor and maintain the practice facilities, always ensuring 5* presentation. Collect, wash and prepare the golf balls throughout the day.
- Complete starter duties when necessary, ensuring all members and guests are updated with the relevant daily information.
- Respond to on course player needs and monitor pace of play.
- Keep the buggy staging area in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Prepare buggies for play, ensuring they are cleaned, polished and topped up with giveaways.
- Maintain accurate records of golfers renting clubs, service the customer who is renting golf clubs and clean rental clubs upon return.
- Liaising with the Professional shop regarding any hire item requests/payments.
- To check and maintain the locker rooms on a regular basis and carry out duties in the shoe store.
- To assist any areas in golf that may need support during busy spells.
- Clean, log and store member equipment following play.
- Executes additional ad-hoc tasks to meet the business objectives of the department.
- To maintain standards and consistency of delivery of service as directed and in accordance with the policies and procedures set by the department.
- Uphold a 5-star appearance in accordance with company guidelines.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and Club policies.
Candidate Profile
Experience
- Previous experience in the golf industry is welcomed
Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional levels of member service
- Flexible approach to working individually and as part of a team
- Being adaptable to the changing environment and requirements of the job throughout the year
Education or Certification
- PGA desirable but not essential
