Birstall Golf Club

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to join our team as a PGA Trainee / Assistant. This role is ideal for someone currently enrolled or looking to enrol in the PGA Training Programme. With Head Professional, you'll support the day-to-day running of the professional shop, assist with coaching and custom club fitting, and be actively involved in golf operations.

This is a role for someone with a passion for golf and working in the industry, with a focus on people and providing an excellent customer experience.

Based in North Leicestershire, Birstall Golf Club is a parkland golf course, known for its superb greens and fairways. This is an exciting time to join as the club has just completed a significant redevelopment project to modernise the Clubhouse and Professional Shop. This includes the build of an indoor simulator/ swing studio and club fitting facilities.

The Role:

• Assist in the day-to-day running of the professional shop, including sales, stock control, and customer service
• Support the delivery of individual and group coaching sessions, including Juniors
• Help organise competitions and club events using industry software (e.g., ClubV1, BRS, etc.)
• Provide custom fitting and basic club repairs (training provided)
• Deliver excellent service to members, guests, and visitors
• Maintain high levels of professionalism and be an ambassador for the club
