Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society

Founded in 1761, the Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society is the fourth oldest golf club in the world and one of Scotland's most prestigious clubs located only 3 miles from Edinburgh city centre and 1 hour from The Old Course, St Andrews.

A position has become available in our busy golf shop and operations. This role is ideal for anyone who have recently started their PGA training or is looking to do their PGA training in the future. Applications from anyone who has a passion for working in the golf club environment would also be considered.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Golf shop – routine shop services such as sales and advice to the club members on golf shop product, inventory management and merchandising.
  • Golf operations – tee sheet, competition, cart fleet, driving range and event management. Meet and greet service to visitors, groups and teams.

Outline of the role / benefits

  • Typically, 25-30 hours working week. 5 days per week, typically 5/6 hours per shift, weekend work required as well as some evening work.
  • 5% pension contribution
  • 29 days holiday per annum inclusive of public holidays (note, December 25 and January 1 are mandatory)

  • Playing access to the golf course and practice facilities

Qualifications and Experience:

  • PGA Trainee
  • Previous work experience in a customer facing environment
  • Administrative skills
  • Have a friendly demeanour and excellent people skills
  • Have the work ethic to succeed in Club life.
