Introducing The PGA’s new Golf Business Quarterly magazine

09/07/2021

The PGA is delighted to present Golf Business Quarterly (GBQ), a brand-new magazine aimed at the golf industry professional.

GBQ will present a rounded view of golf business and provide readers with thought leadership that is applicable to all disciplines in the golf industry.

The magazine will feature the biggest voices in golf business. It will include in-depth interviews and provide genuine analysis of key data relating to topics such as participation, growth of the game, retail, rounds played and much more. This data will be backed up with experts providing commentary on what it means, helping golf industry professionals make better-informed decisions.

GBQ will stand alone in the market with the potential to speak to all figures of influence in the British and Irish, European, Middle East, Far East and North American golf industries.

The magazine will be sent to PGA Members as well as members of The PGA’s new Business Management Group and Club Volunteer Group in both print and digital format. We are making the first issue entirely free on a digital basis, to engage with the wider golf industry. To access the free digital version of GBQ CLICK HERE.

The PGA is working closely with the creative agency 18Players.com to produce GBQ collaboratively, assisted and guided by a working group featuring a number of respected golf industry professionals who offer a range of perspectives.

Commenting on the first issue of GBQ, Robert Maxfield, Chief Executive of The PGA, said: “We are delighted to present our new Golf Business Quarterly magazine to the golf industry.

“This new quarterly magazine will become the go-to journal for golf business. It will be packed full of high-level content that spans the industry, looking at the big issues that affect all of us pursuing a career in golf.

“We want to be at the forefront of golf and instigating the discussions about how we take our game forward. While our name is on the cover, it’s deliberately not in the magazine’s title. GBQ is very much meant to be ‘neutral’.”

The first issue takes an in-depth look at the opportunity for growth in female participation. Packed with data, and featuring interviews with the likes of Ping‘s European managing director, Lisa Lovatt, women’s sport pioneer Sue Anstiss (MBE) and the inspirational story of England rugby international Maggie Alphonsi (MBE) who explains how golf can learn from rugby in a number of areas, including participation and inclusivity.
